Hometown Community Showcase — Community Events
Photo & Video Release
Hometown Community Showcase, operated by Ask Aurora ("Company"), regularly takes photographs and video at Star Parties and other community events for the purpose of promoting the Showcase, its Constellation members, and future events.
1. Consent to Photograph and Record
By attending a Hometown Community Showcase event, you acknowledge that photography and video recording may be taking place, and you consent to being included in such photographs and video.
2. Use of Images and Video
Images and video captured at Showcase events may be used by Ask Aurora for the following purposes:
- Promotion of Hometown Community Showcase on its website, social media, and NorthStar Newsletter.
- Promotion of future Showcase events, Constellations, and Member businesses.
- General marketing and brand materials for Ask Aurora and Hometown Community Showcase.
Ask Aurora will not use event photography or video for any purpose unrelated to the Showcase without separate, specific consent.
3. Filming at Member Business Locations
In addition to event photography, Ask Aurora may request to film or photograph at a Member's business location during regular business hours for use in Reels, social media content, and other digital distribution promoting the Member and the Showcase. This type of filming will only take place with the Member's prior consent, coordinated in advance, and is separate from the general event photography described above.
4. Opting Out
If you prefer not to be photographed or recorded, please let event staff know upon arrival, or avoid designated photo/recording areas where posted. You may also request that a specific photo or video be removed from Showcase materials after the fact by contacting aurora@askaurora.online, and we will make reasonable efforts to honor that request for materials still within our control.
5. Minors
If a minor is photographed or recorded at a Showcase event, consent is presumed to be provided by the accompanying parent or guardian's attendance at the event. A parent or guardian may request removal of their child's image at any time by contacting aurora@askaurora.online.
6. No Compensation
Attendance at a Showcase event, and any resulting use of your photograph or video as described above, does not entitle you to compensation, credit, or approval rights over the final materials.
